You may have come across a Stoneman during your stay in Whistler. Known as an inunnguaq, this type of inuksuk was the basis for the 2010 Winter Olympic Game’s logo. In Canada, the inuksuk serves as a marker to signify a route or a place of importance. For Whistler, it serves as a representation of Canada’s rich heritage and a symbol of community.
